Mobile app development

We design, build and ship apps for iOS and Android. Not in theory: we have kept our own apps alive in the stores since 2014.

Most agencies offering app development have never shipped an app of their own. We live on both sides: we write the code, and we also answer the support emails, read the one-star reviews and deal with App Store and Google Play review teams.

That changes how we work. We know which decisions get expensive six months later, what Apple rejects before it rejects you, and which parts of an app break once real people use it.

What we build

We work with companies that need one specific app, not a catalogue of features. It usually falls into one of these:

  • Internal tools: apps for your team in the field, on the shop floor or on the road, replacing spreadsheets and phone calls.
  • Customer-facing products: the app your users book, browse, buy or track with.
  • Extensions of a system you already run: when the ERP or the web platform exists and the mobile side is missing.
  • Publishing and maintenance: developer accounts, store listings, screenshots, updates and review responses.

How we work

We do not start with design or code. We start by understanding what the app solves and for whom, because everything else follows from that.

  • Understand the problem. One or two conversations about how you work today, what breaks and what you expect to change.
  • Define the scope. We write down what goes into the first version and what does not. It is almost always less than it seemed, and that is a good thing.
  • Build in versions. You see the app running early, not at the end. If something does not fit, it gets fixed while fixing it is still cheap.
  • Ship it. We prepare listings, screenshots and store review. If you would rather publish under your own developer account, we help you set it up.
  • Maintain it. iOS and Android change every year. An unmaintained app stops compiling and eventually leaves the store.

What we build it with

We build native: Swift and SwiftUI on iOS, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose on Android. It is more work than a cross-platform shortcut, but the result feels like part of the phone instead of fighting it.

On the server side we use cloud services for auth, database, notifications and sync, and custom APIs when the project calls for it. If you already have a backend, we connect to it rather than replace it.

When a project genuinely does not justify two native apps, we say so and suggest another route. We would rather do that than sell you twice the work.

Why work with a studio in Mexico

We are in the same time zones as the United States, which means same-day answers instead of overnight round trips. We work in English and in Spanish, and the whole team is in one place rather than spread across brokers and subcontractors.

And you can check our work before hiring us: our apps are public, rated and reviewed by strangers.

Questions we get every time

How much does an app cost?

It depends on scope, and anyone quoting a number without asking you anything is making it up. What we do give you is a range after a first call, plus a breakdown of where the budget goes, so you can cut with some judgement if you need to.

How long does it take?

Also depends, mostly on how many systems the app has to touch. What we can commit to is that you see working versions within the first weeks, instead of waiting months for a single delivery.

Native or cross-platform?

Native when the app is a core product, is meant to last years, or depends on system features like notifications, widgets or performance. Cross-platform when budget rules and the app is simple. We tell you which one fits even when it is the smaller job for us.

Do I own the app?

Yes. The code is yours and the app can ship under your own developer account. If you do not have one, we help you open and configure it.

Do you work with companies outside Mexico?

Yes. We are based in La Paz, Baja California Sur, and work remotely with companies across Mexico and clients in the United States. Most of the work happens over video calls and in the repository.

Have an app in mind?

Tell us what you need to solve. If we are not the right fit for your case, we will say so.
