At Boomerang we believe your loans are yours. This policy explains what information we handle, why, and how we take care of it.
1. Who we are
Boomerang is a mobile app for iOS and Android developed by HSM Studios. You can reach us at [email protected].
2. Data we process
Boomerang works without a user account. The information you record (contacts, loans, payments, notes) is stored only on your device. Optionally, it syncs across your own devices via iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android) under your personal Apple or Google account.
- Loan data: contact name, description, amounts, dates, reminders and notes.
- Technical data: anonymous crash diagnostics (Firebase Crashlytics) and aggregated usage statistics (Firebase Analytics). They do not include the content of your loans.
- Purchases: if you enable Pro features, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not see your card information.
3. What we DON’T do
- We don’t run servers with your loans.
- We don’t sell or share your information with third parties.
- We don’t show third-party ads inside the app.
- We don’t read your contacts without explicit permission.
4. Device permissions
The app may request access to contacts (to suggest names when creating a loan), notifications (for reminders you schedule) and the camera (to photograph receipts). All are optional and revocable from system Settings on iPhone or Android.
5. Cloud sync
If you enable sync, your data travels encrypted between your devices through iCloud (iOS) or Google Drive (Android). We do not access that information. You can disable sync at any time from the app.
6. Rights
Because your data lives on your device, you control it: you can view it, export it as PDF/CSV, edit or delete it at any time from inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes all local data.
7. Minors
Boomerang is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from minors.
8. Changes
If we update this policy, we will note the new date at the top of this document. For significant changes, we will notify you inside the app.
